Selen Shenalp was born in Cyprus, Later, she attended London College of fashion, from where she graduated with a higher BTEC diploma in Art and Design. Her passion has always been in creative art. Semi-permanent make up gave her the opportunity to practice her passion and develop her artistic talent. Selen has been living and working in London since 2012, where she has established herself as one of the leading semi-permanent make-up artist and an international trainer on eyebrows and she is also an international trainer for Selenbeauty and Swisscolor .
Selen’s speciality is creating beautiful natural looking eyebrows. She likes to work within the natural growth direction of the eyebrow hairs. She has mastered her own technique either blending the finest hair-strokes with powdering, creating natural looking eyebrows or using different colours to achieve the 3D look, to complement and enhance each individual face. Selens’ client base is made up of celebrities alongside established clients. Selen travels to international Master classes to share her skills and keep abrest of new developments and techniques on the international forum.
Selen a qualified and experienced semi-permanent make up artist and has been in the beauty industry for many years. As a qualified beauty therapist she has concentrated on semi-permanent make up since 2005.
She has also undergone extensive training both nationally and internationally.
Selen uses highly advanced equipment and pigments in order to perform very fine and precise artwork as well as maintaining the highest standards when it comes to hygiene and safety.
Having a beauty therapy background gives Selen an advantage in the understanding and handling of all skin types.
Selen has a keen eye and vision for blending the correct tone of pigment with the right individual skin tone to bring about perfect matching result.
Selen is a member of the British Association of Beauty Therapy & Cosmetology (BABTAC) and the Alopecia UK. She is also a registered therapist within the Borough of Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster as well as the London Borough of Barnet.
